This tool does NOT portscan hosts itself. It accepts portscans from nmap in XML form, and insert them in a database in a useful way. If you are are script kiddie just trying to scan something, please look elsewhere. Portscan is a tool that creates an archive of submitted portscans, and allows the database to be searched in interesting ways. Uses for this may include:
Portscan accepts entries into it's database in Nmap's XML output format.
This may be done using the argument -oX. Portscan also accepts OS Identification info, from the -O argument. Thus, a nice nmap command for import into portscan might be: nmap -O -oX - target.example.comTo make a submission to the portscan database, click on Submit on the left. To search the database, click on Scan.
